Ireland got divided in 1923 as northern Ireland(NI) and Republic of Ireland (ROI), northern Ireland decided to be part of UK, till 1998 there were guerrilla wars (Irish Republic Army) and closed border between northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland. In 1998 Good Friday Agreement was signed between them and it it there was a clause that if in future people agreed then these both countries can be united.

Since then border become porous and trade boomed between them, but BREXIT referendum came in 2016 and UK decided to breakaway from EU (despite NI get 56% vote to retain in EU)  now as NI is part of UK and ROI is part of EU but there is uncertainty how will relationship between them would look like. Even the people of NI would not like to have hard border with ROI, so talks of being united has started as per the Good Friday Agreement.

So the question Is Ireland going to be united again?
